My Avalon

Have you read the fantasy book 'The Mists of Avalon' written by Marion Zimmer Bradley? That book was definitely one of the big ones directed me to a path less travelled. Later it was taken to the movie screen using a very low budget - I assume- since the effects rather made me smile.
However, both the book and the movie speak about the mystical connection between Women and Mother Earth.
Long before I settled down in Connemara, I was travelling around the world to find a place where I can feel that special connection. After several trip in and out of the area, I have chosen Connemara. It became my personal Avalon.
This post is to show some of the beauty you can find in this Sacred Land, which I proudly call home from now on.
